11-24-25 THOUGHTS
Heb 4:13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do. In Acts 1:24 God is called the kardiognostes, the HEARTKNOWER! Our reading today is penetrating to our souls. “If our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God.” This is Matt 5:8a “Blessed are the pure in heart:” 1Tim 1:5 But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.
1John 3:18-23 Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth. 19 We will know by this that we are of the truth, and will assure our heart before Him 20 in whatever our heart condemns us; for God is greater than our heart and knows all things. 21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; 22 and whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight. 23 This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.
Our Prayer:
Father, only by Your grace in Christ Jesus can we be clean and pure. Impute to us what is needed that we may be pure and holy in Your sight. Forgive our weak and sinful nature. Help us that our hearts would not condemn us. Help us love in deed and truth. We want to please You always, O God. We lift up and praise Your Glorious Name. It’s in Jesus, Amen.
